How to improve Attention Deficit Hyperactivity deficiency disorder?

In the recent past, the production of medication that is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity deficiency has increased massively. This has led research centers to look for alternative natural remedies that can help manage this condition. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the disorder diagnosed in children has increased by 41% between 2010 and 2019. The research further estimated that more than 6 million children between the age group of 4 and 17 are affected by this condition. With such a large estimate, it has become important to address this issue and create awareness on the natural remedies or tips that can help children.

Eliminate preservatives and food coloring

If your child is suffering from this disorder, food coloring is a complete NO! Although ingredients such as this can brighten the food and entice them to consume nutritious food, this can lead to multiple side-effects such as forgetfulness, difficulty in paying attention that gradually increases, facing organizational problems and restlessness leading to frequent interruptions.

Avoid potential allergens

It is advisable to follow diet plans that restrict any kind of potential allergens as this will improve behavior in children who are suffering from ADHD. Before zeroing down on the diet plan, check with an allergy doctor if they suspect any potential allergies. Meanwhile, you can also experiment by avoiding some food items like chemical preservatives that are used in storing oily products like chips, chewing gum, cereal, butter, dry cake, and instant mixes for mashed potato. Others include avoiding or reducing the intake of food items like chocolate, meat, milk and eggs.

Consider joining yoga or tai chi classes

Some studies indicate that opting for yoga classes can be helpful in improving the condition. According to a research published by Trusted Source in 2013, people who indulge in yoga classes at least 2-5 times a week show a significant improvement in hyperactivity and social problems in boys with ADHD and anxiety. Another tip is to join Tai Chi classes or mix it up with MMA classes. Through these activities, they daydream lesser and display fewer inappropriate emotions.

Spending more time outdoors

Spending time outside can affect children with ADHD positively. There is strong evidence that spending as little as 20 minutes outside can help improve their concentration and can make them calmer as they are surrounded by greenery and natural settings. A study in 2011 indicated that regular exposure to outdoors and green spaces can prove to be a natural treatment where the condition automatically suppresses over time.
